Multifactor model for assessing the environmental friendliness of regional economic development
Subject. Interaction and mutual influence of environmental, economic, and social factors. The decoupling effect, human impact on the environment. Objectives. Development of a multifactor model for assessing the environmental friendliness of a region's economic development, which allows for quantitatively measuring the degree of 'green' growth. Methods. Statistical analysis tools were applied. Results. An algorithm has been developed that allows us to determine how much the growth rate of the region's environmental efficiency deviates from the economic growth rate. Conclusions. The practical significance of the results lies in the ability to rank regions by the environmental friendliness of their economic growth and to develop well-founded management decisions to ensure the ecological well-being of the population.
