Cyber Shield: An AI-Powered Investigation Support Platform for Explainable Digital Forensic Case Management

Cyber Shield is a digital investigation support platform designed to improve the organization and management of digital investigation case information. The system aims to address challenges associated with scattered case records, time-consuming information retrieval, investigation progress tracking, and identifying relationships between entities across cases. The platform uses React.js and Tailwind CSS for the user interface, Python with FastAPI for backend services, and PostgreSQL for structured data management. Neo4j is considered for representing relationships between entities and supporting future graph-based investigation analysis. The proposed system is intended to support investigators and supervising officers through organized case management and a foundation for future analytical capabilities. Planned enhancements include AI-assisted entity extraction, cross-case relationship analysis, and explainable investigative lead generation. This work presents the system concept, its architecture, the selected technologies, current implementation status, limitations, and opportunities for future development in digital investigation support.
