If AI Influenced the Decision, Should You Know?
This poster introduces the AI Visibility Record, a proposed way to make the influence of artificial intelligence visible in research data and outputs. AI may be used to translate, clean, classify, or interpret data, yet its contribution may be absent from the research record or described only as “AI-assisted.” This can make it difficult for others to understand, assess, reuse, or question AI-influenced work. The proposed record focuses on three questions: What did the AI influence? Who reviewed the result and remains responsible? How can someone question or correct it? The poster invites the research community to identify the smallest useful set of information to record across different levels of AI influence and explore how that information can travel with research data and outputs. The AI Visibility Record is a proposal for community testing, not a finished standard.
