The library as a collaborative knowledge hub: Mediating role of psychological safety in peer knowledge sharing among students
The paradigm shifts in the higher education ecosystem, driven by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and the advent of the AI era, has repositioned academic libraries from silent repositories to collaborative learning commons. However, despite infrastructural investments, the "silo effect" persists among students. The study aims to explicate the antecedents of Peer Knowledge Sharing Behaviour in Indian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). Cross-sectional design is used to collect 480 undergraduate and postgraduate students responses from selected universities in Dehradun through a structured questionnaire. Structural equation modelling (SEM) on R Studio and python codes is used to analysis the collected data with direct and indirect linkages among the identified constructs by examining the mediating role of Psychological Safety. The findings exhibit that Psychological Safety and Peer Trust markedly magnify Peer Knowledge Sharing Behaviour.
