SCIENTIFIC FOUNDATIONS OF INTEGRATED CONTROL MEASURES AGAINST PARASITIC NEMATODES ASSOCIATED WITH THE DOG ROSE PLANT
The article provides a scientific analysis of integrated management approaches to plant-parasitic nematodes associated with the roots and rhizosphere soil of dog rose (Rosa canina L.) under the conditions of Surkhandarya Region. The phytosanitary significance of nematodes belonging to the genera Pratylenchus and Ditylenchus, the limitations of diagnosing infestation, the selection of healthy seedlings, agronomic prevention, the selection of biological control agents, and the interrelationship between these measures and monitoring are examined. Based on existing faunistic records and scientific literature, a step-by-step decision-making framework is proposed. It is substantiated that the presence of an identified species does not directly prove that it has caused damage to the plant, and that the effectiveness of control measures cannot be expressed as percentages without local controlled experiments. The integrated approach prioritizes accurate diagnosis and environmentally safe prevention rather than relying exclusively on chemical agents.
