MOLECULAR GENETIC STUDY OF A MUTATION IN THE B3GALNT2 GENE ASSOCIATED EITH HYDROCEPHALUS IN HORSES JF THE ZHABE TYPE.
This study investigated the effectiveness of the combined use of probiotics and herbal preparations for the prevention and treatment of uterine diseases in cows. Uterine disorders, including endometritis, metritis, and other inflammatory conditions of the reproductive tract, are among the major factors contributing to impaired reproductive performance in cattle. These diseases can lead to prolonged service periods, increased numbers of unsuccessful inseminations, reduced fertility, premature culling, and significant economic losses in livestock production. Therefore, the development of safe and effective approaches for the prevention and treatment of reproductive disorders remains an important objective in modern veterinary medicine.Probiotics may contribute to the restoration and maintenance of the normal microbial balance of the uterus by supporting beneficial microorganisms and suppressing the growth of potentially pathogenic bacteria. In particular, probiotic strains such as Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Bifidobacterium bifidum may enhance the local protective mechanisms of the reproductive tract and contribute to the restoration of physiological microflora. Herbal preparations, including medicinal plants such as chamomile and burdock, possess anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antioxidant, and tissue-regenerative properties. Their combined application with probiotics may provide a complementary therapeutic effect and support the recovery of damaged uterine tissues. The integrated use of probiotics and herbal preparations may also help reduce the excessive dependence on conventional antimicrobial therapy and minimize the potential risks associated with prolonged antibiotic use. The findings of this study indicate that the combined approach has considerable potential as a safe, biologically based, and effective alternative or complementary method for the prevention and treatment of uterine diseases in cows.
