Severe Hypertriglyceridemia Associated With Acute Pancreatitis in a Patient on Risankizumab
ABSTRACT Hypertriglyceridemia is a frequent condition, and it has many causes including obesity, hypothyroidism, and some medication. Exploring the cause is mandatory to avoid complications such as acute pancreatitis. We reported a case of hypertriglyceridemia-induced pancreatitis, started after starting risankizumab for Crohn's disease. This case describes the possible association between the increase of triglyceride level and the use of risankizumab, which was revealed by hypertriglyceridemia-induced acute pancreatitis.
