WOMEN'S IMAGES AND NARRATIVE STRATEGIES IN "ON THE TRAIN" BY PEYO K. YAVOROV AND "IN PARIS" BY ANA KARIMA

This article presents the female images that shape the peculiar verbal duel between Peyo Yavorov and Ana Karima, based on the works “On the Train” – a travelogue article and “In Paris” – a fictional travelogue. The theme of beauty is examined as a key sign of femininity and temptation. The image of women is traced through the male and female prism of the authors. The reasons for the irony with which the two Bulgarian writers ridicule each other in their works are investigated.
