Pengaruh Pendidikan Gizi terhadap Literasi Gizi dan Sikap Ibu pada Balita dengan Wasting

Wasting is one of the two main anthropometric markers used to describe malnutrition, indicating low weight relative to height. The impacts of wasting include an increased risk of infection, impaired physical growth and cognitive function, and a higher risk of death. A major contributing factor to wasting is maternal lack of knowledge, which is related to low literacy. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of nutritional education on nutritional literacy and maternal attitudes towards wasting in toddlers. The design model used is One Group Pretest Post test. The results of the Wilcoxon test with SPSS after the intervention showed a change, namely the level of maternal nutritional literacy in the moderate category of 47.2% with a p-value = 0.000, namely p-value <0.005 and the attitude of mothers after the intervention increased to the good category by 15 respondents (41.7%) with a p-value = 0.000 where p-value <0.005. The research shows that there is an influence of providing nutritional education on the level of nutritional literacy and parental attitudes towards preventing wasting.
