A PRODUÇÃO DE RELATÓRIOS ANTROPOLÓGICOS NA PÓS-GRADUAÇÃO: UMA EXPERIÊNCIA NO VALE DO ACARÁ, PARÁ
This paper discusses an ethnographic research conducted as part of the academic training of Quilombola anthropologists at the Federal University of Pará, highlighting the importance of integrating teaching, research, and community outreach in graduate programs, as well as the importance of preparing professionals to work on legal and administrative matters concerning Quilombola communities. The study takes place in the communities of Balsa and Gonçalves, located on the borders of the municipalities of Tailândia and Acará, a region surrounded by oil palm monoculture, where, since the 1980s, processes of land expropriation and environmental damage have been recorded. The text proposes ethnography as a central element of anthropological practice, which articulates theory, practice, and ethical-political commitment, becoming fundamental to giving visibility to identities, territorialities, and collective rights. The case study reveals that, despite difficulties imposed on fieldwork—including access restrictions and conflicts—the ethnographic experience resulted in the production of an anthropological report that contributed to the realization of the rights of the communities involved, highlighting anthropological practice as a political construction.
