Hypothesis of the Autolimited Universe: The Universe as a Reconfiguration System
This document presents the Hypothesis of the Autolimited Universe, one of several hypotheses formulated during the development of the Cognitive Coherence Model (CCM). It proposes four axes (Plane, Properties, Information and Possibility) as a hypothesized minimum that determines existence, and explores the idea that physical reality should not be assumed to have unlimited capacity, perfect continuity, or unrestricted resolution. The paper uses analogies (a computer data bus, rendering) and a set of conjectures about black holes, entanglement, the speed of light and entropy, and includes a section that compares each conjecture with established experiments and theories (Landauer’s principle, the Lieb–Robinson bound, the Bekenstein bound, tests of Lorentz invariance, Bell tests and a recent measurement of vacuum spin correlations), stating where each correspondence ends. It is a hypothesis, not a demonstrated physical theory: it makes no quantitative predictions, and some of the compared results constrain it rather than support it. The four axes were later incorporated into the CCM as its cognitive profiles. Related hypotheses (Tensionism, Bounded Evolution) are presented in separate documents.
