ANALISIS PENGARUH VOLUME LALU LINTAS TERHADAP TINGKAT KERUSAKAN PERKERASAN JALAN
Increasing traffic volume is one of the primary factors contributing to the accelerated deterioration of road pavements, particularly on roads with high traffic mobility. The Budur–Susukan–Tegalgubug Road in Cirebon Regency exhibits various types of surface distress; however, no quantitative study has specifically measured the effect of traffic volume on pavement deterioration along this road section. This study aimed to analyze traffic volume characteristics, evaluate the level of pavement deterioration based on the type and extent of surface distress, and determine the influence of traffic volume on pavement deterioration. This research employed a quantitative approach through field surveys. Primary data were collected from traffic volume surveys and pavement distress identification across eight observation segments. Traffic volume was analyzed using Average Daily Traffic (ADT), while the relationship between traffic volume and pavement deterioration was examined using simple linear regression with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics. The results indicate that traffic volume ranged from 2,315 to 2,379 passenger car units per day (pcu/day). Pavement deterioration was classified as moderate, with distress percentages ranging from 6.40% to 14.87%, predominantly consisting of alligator cracking, longitudinal cracking, raveling, rutting, edge deterioration, and patching. The regression analysis produced the equation Y = −295.407 + 0.131X, with a correlation coefficient (R) of 0.900, a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.811, and a significance value of 0.002 (
