The Hefaistos Platform: Planetary Macroeconomic Policy Assessment, Integrated Physical Carbon Budgets, and 153-Nation CGE Climate Commitment Modeling
This technical monograph details The Hefaistos Platform, an integrated planetary simulation system coupling the FaIR v2.2.4 physical carbon cycle impulse-response formulation with Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) macroeconomic policy feedback loops across 153 nations. The platform simulates autonomous decarbonization trajectories, non-linear tipping element thresholds, and Pareto-optimal policy interventions. Modeling methodologies developed within this framework have been benchmarked and utilized in international reporting for the United Nations Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN Global Climate Hub, chaired by Prof. Phoebe Koundouri).
