Not Nursing Enough? The Profession's Own Boundaries as a Barrier to Research Funding
make a persuasive case that nurses are kept from research funding by forces outside the profession, among them contracts with no protected time, reimbursement systems blind to nursing work, and institutions that do not see nurses as scientists.I agree with their analysis, but I believe it leaves out a barrier that lies within nursing itself.
