Follicular-fluid metabolomics and cytokine profiling in diminished ovarian reserve: source data and analysis code
This dataset accompanies an exploratory observational study of follicular-fluid metabolic and cytokine profiles in women with diminished ovarian reserve (DOR) compared with women with normal ovarian reserve (NOR). The study comprises two independent, non-overlapping cohorts: a metabolomics cohort of 41 participants (16 DOR and 25 NOR), using follicular-fluid measurements from a previously published study, and a cytokine cohort of 63 participants (36 DOR and 27 NOR), profiled using a semi-quantitative antibody array covering 120 cytokines, chemokines and growth factors. The deposit includes converted mass-spectrometry files in mzXML format, metabolomics laboratory records and annotation outputs, cytokine-array images and vendor service reports, sample identifier mappings, and analysis scripts with associated inputs and results. The cytokine source reports include the original 74 assayed specimens; the final 63-participant analysis cohort is identified through the accompanying sample mappings and analysis inputs. Analyses include differential abundance assessment, cytokine correlations and network analyses, GO and KEGG enrichment, pathway-level integration, and associations with assisted reproductive technology laboratory outcomes, together with sensitivity analyses. Integration of the two molecular layers is based on shared pathway annotations rather than participant-level paired measurements. The mzXML files are converted data rather than instrument-native WIFF files, and the array images are supplied in JPG format.
