Infrared Spectroscopy at low temperatures and at high magnetic fields
Abstract Infrared spectroscopy is a powerful experimental tool for investigating the low-energy excitations of matter. Here, we present two setups for infrared spectroscopy measurements in Synergetic Extreme Condition User Facility (SECUF), which includes Setup (I) for infrared measurements at low temperatures ( T ) and Setup (II) for infrared measurements at high magnetic fields. Therein, Setup (I) can be utilized to perform optical reflectance and transmission measurements down to 5 K in the energy range from 30 to 25000 cm -1 , and Setup (II) can be employed to carry out magneto-infrared measurements in Faraday and Voigt geometries at static magnetic fields up to 20 T and at T = 4.2 K. Moreover, we showed the examples on the application of these two setups in infrared spectroscopy measurements.
