Digital Employee Experience and Workplace Engagement Strategies for Modern Organizations

Digitalization of workplace environments rapidly is making the Digital Employee Experience (DEX) a key factor in determining workplace engagement and organizational sustainability. The purpose of the paper is to consider the strategy of relationship between DEX and employee engagement in organizations using such theories as Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory, Social Exchange Theory (SET), and Ability-Motivation-Opportunity (AMO) theory. Using literature analysis for the period from 2021 to 2026, the author develops the model of engagement ecosystem with five pillars: technological infrastructure, digital leadership and communication, recognition and feedback, digital well-being policies, and continuous listening. As a result of the analysis of secondary empirical data, it was found out that companies utilizing DEX strategies had better results in terms of engagement and retention factors; the former showed significant growth after 6 months of implementation while the latter increased due to implementation of DEX in front-line employees.
