Estrategias Pedagógicas para la gestión Integral de residuos sólidos en Estudiantes de grado 9 de la Institución Educativa Distrital 20 de octubre Santa Marta

The primary objective of this research was to implement pedagogical strategies for the comprehensive management of solid waste and to strengthen environmental awareness among 9th-grade students at the Institución Educativa Distrital 20 de Octubre in Santa Marta. A quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive design was employed to gather data on the students' level of awareness, knowledge, and perspectives regarding solid waste management. Subsequently, a diagnostic assessment was conducted, and pedagogical strategies focused on environmental care and conservation within the school setting were implemented. The results indicated that the student population possesses a favorable conceptual foundation for reinforcing habits associated with responsible solid waste management. However, while the demonstrated knowledge is satisfactory, it is important to continue developing environmental education strategies that facilitate the transformation of this knowledge into sustainable, everyday practices both within and outside the educational institution.
