Decipherment of the Cretan Hieroglyphic Script under the Wikaira Decipherment Framework`
This scientific working paper presents the decipherment of the Cretan Hieroglyphic Script (Minoan Crete, c. 1900–1650 BCE) under the Wikaira Decipherment Framework. It establishes that Petschaft loop signet seals and clay bars operated as palatial inventory ledgers tracking wool production and animal husbandry. Re-evaluating the Corpus Hieroglyphicarum Inscriptionum Cretae (CHIC) demonstrates logographic decoupling of sign pairs (trowel-eye CH 044-005), proving the trowel sign represents the seal itself by synecdoche. Reinstates the cat-mask sign (CH 070 / Linear A AB 80 /ma/) as the logogram for wool. Scribes maintained live balances via pinched clay additions and tally mark cancellations.
