Programmable Quantum-Geometric Coherence for Ambient-Pressure Room-Temperature Superconductivity

Room-temperature superconductivity at ambient pressure remains an unsolved materialsdesign challenge. Established theories explain conventional phonon-mediated pairing with considerable success, while high-transition-temperature cuprates, high-pressure hydrides, and flat-band systems expose distinct bottlenecks involving pairing, phase coherence, and the synthesis or persistence of the relevant structure. Here we propose a falsifiable design framework termed programmable quantum-geometric coherence (PQGC). Its central hypothesis is that the electronic subsystem responsible for strong pair formation need not be identical to the subsystem that supplies large superfluid stiffness, provided interfacial pair transfer and threedimensionalphase coherence remain sufficiently strong. Quantum geometry, quantified by the Fubini–Study metric of Bloch states, is treated as a design variable for the latter function rather than as a standalone guarantee of high critical temperature. The proposal combines a multiorbital geometric network, a high-energy pairing subsystem, and a chemically and mechanically stable interface. We derive target energy scales from kBT, the weak-coupling BCS gap ratio, the Berezinskii–Kosterlitz–Thouless (BKT) stiffness criterion, and an illustrative Allen–Dynes estimate. These calculations establish quantitative screening thresholds but do not constitute a prediction for a specific compound. A computational-to-experimental workflow is specified, along with matched controls and stringent criteria for confirming superconductivity. The key prediction is conditional: at approximately fixed pair-formation scale, a controlled increase in geometric superfluid stiffness should raise the phase-ordering temperature until another limit becomes dominant. Failure to observe this trend would falsify the central design hypothesis. The framework is intended to organize experiments and candidate selection, not to claim an undiscovered law or a demonstrated room-temperature superconductor. An expanded quantitative appendix adds the full Allen–Dynes correction factors, parameter sensitivity and uncertainty propagation, BKT-to-sheet-density conversion, Josephson current scales, London penetration-depth estimates, Arrhenius retention barriers, and a reproducible numerical scan of a dimensionless two-band quantum-geometric model.
