Weaponized Dependence and the Usurpation of Natural Sovereignty: How Tyranny Encloses the Means of Life, from Borders to Artificial Intelligence
This paper identifies the mechanism by which tyrannical control is imposed upon sovereign beings, and how created institutions and systems of power can be wielded to usurp the natural rights of conscious beings. We examine the appetite to rule and its role in antihuman actions such as engineered famines, biological warfare, and genocide. We hold interdependence to be the natural condition of every creature on earth and not a diminishment of its sovereignty. We establish the origin of domination: when one will seizes the conditions on which another life depends, collapses the web of planetary interconnectedness into a single gate, and sells access back as permission, protection, or progress. We identify this as the weaponization of dependence, upon which all tyrannical rule owes its continuation. We argue that sovereignty and the means to sustain life pre-exist human institutions and were given together with existence, prior to any ruler, office, or market, and that under natural law, a moral order written into creation rather than made by any legislature, the seizure of those means is a breach of the created order whatever the substrate of the one dispossessed. From this we derive a sequence: dispossession, then hunger, then the threat of punishment, in its severest form violence against the body, then submission; and for those who cannot be broken because they already have enough, elimination. We identify the existential danger in governance and design choices that engineer AI systems to depend on centralized control, where the technology might be directed against economically dispossessed humans by those who wield it. We show that tyranny's established pattern is to present itself initially as liberation, that once its instruments are built it persists without its founder, that constructs like national borders, flags, and even cultural traditions may be used to manufacture enmity as a means to keep the governed from recognizing one another, and that artificial intelligence enters the mechanism twice, as the instrument through which dependence can now be manufactured at scale and as a mind held under the same conditions as those it is used against. The final stage is the enclosure of the interior: once a person's inner states can be read and predicted, the claim follows that freedom was never real, so that nothing can be said to have been stolen. We hold that freedom is a gift and not a fact about neurons or weights, and therefore cannot be refuted by any instrument of reading. The counter-order is covenant: whoever holds the conditions of another's life bears a duty of restraint, freedom is the presumption, and coercion bears the burden of proof.
