Reflections on the management of literary works with educational content for the development of the personality of university students
The education of university students requires strategies that link literary reading with personality development. Objective: To present reflections on the management of literary works with educational content for the personality development of university students, based on articles from partner journals—the Cuban Journal of Information Sciences in Health and Islands—located with the support of artificial intelligence (AI) tools and compared with academic literature. Methodology: A qualitative, descriptive-propositive approach was adopted. The proposal was evaluated through consultation with eight professionals in the educational field, including teachers and administrators, intentionally selected for their experience in higher education, reading promotion, and academic management. Results: The reflections were organized into four dimensions: reading and educational diagnosis, selection of works with educational content, planning and allocation of resources, and evaluation of educational outcomes. The proposal highlights the need to coordinate libraries, faculty, and administrative teams to promote reading practices linked to values, empathy, self-esteem, and critical thinking. Conclusion/Contributions: The educational management of literary works can contribute to the development of university students' personalities when accompanied by clear objectives, teacher guidance, administrator participation, and periodic evaluation.
