THE POTENTIAL OF MULTIMODAL EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES IN CONTEMPORARY TEACHER EDUCATION

The development of digital technologies and the transformation of higher education have created new opportunities for improving teacher education. In this context, multimodal educational technologies are becoming increasingly important because they combine different forms of presenting information, including written text, images, audio, video, animation, interactive tasks, and digital simulations. The purpose of this paper is to examine the potential of multimodal educational technologies in preparing future teachers and to identify pedagogical conditions that support their effective implementation. The paper employs a theoretical and analytical approach based on the review of relevant educational literature and international guidelines. Particular attention is given to the development of professional competencies, critical thinking, digital literacy, independent learning, and inclusive teaching practices The paper concludes that integrating multimodal educational technologies into teacher preparation programmes can contribute to the development of reflective, digitally competent, and professionally adaptable educators.
