INTENSIVE TEACHING OF THE GERMAN LANGUAGE: MODERN METHODS, COMMUNICATIVE APPROACHES, AND DIGITAL LEARNING TECHNOLOGIES

This article examines the theoretical and methodological foundations of intensive German language teaching, focusing on innovative instructional strategies, communicative approaches, and the integration of digital educational technologies. The growing importance of German in international education, professional mobility, and intercultural communication has increased the demand for effective language learning programs that enable learners to develop communicative competence within a relatively short period. The study employs a qualitative review of academic literature, comparative pedagogical analysis, and instructional modeling to identify the essential components of intensive German language education. Particular attention is given to task-based language teaching, communicative language teaching, vocabulary acquisition, interactive learning, and the development of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills. The analysis suggests that intensive instruction can support language development when increased learning opportunities are accompanied by systematic practice, appropriate feedback, and continuous assessment. The article proposes an integrated instructional model combining structured classroom activities, authentic communication, digital resources, and independent learning. The findings provide methodological recommendations for foreign language teachers, higher education institutions, and language centers seeking to improve the organization and quality of intensive German language courses. Keywords: intensive German language teaching, foreign language education, communicative competence, accelerated language learning, digital technologies
