An Analysis of Terminology Consistency Between the General Framework of the 2022 Revised National Curriculum and the Specialized Beauty Education Curriculum

This study aims to investigate the lack of terminological connectivity between the 2022 Revised National Curriculum General Framework and the specialized curriculum for beauty, alongside the erroneous repetition of unaltered terms from the 2015 curriculum, thereby providing a logical foundation for document optimization in future revisions of the beauty curriculum. To achieve this, an analysis was conducted on the general frameworks and subject-specific curriculums officially announced by the Ministry of Education and registered in the National Curriculum Information Center (NCIC), specifically examining the 2015 Revised Curriculum, the Specialized Curriculum for Beauty, Tourism, and Leisure, the 2022 Revised Curriculum, and the Specialized Curriculum for Beauty. Regarding the internal consistency of the 2022 Revised Curriculum, the findings revealed ambiguities in the labeling methods for elective courses in both common and specialized subjects, while the alignment analysis between the general framework and subject-specific curriculums exposed unclear designations of elective courses and problems with terminological coherence, in addition to deficiencies
