Genome sequence of Bradyrhizobium diazoefficiens WB74: a commercial nitrogen-fixing microsymbiont of soybean ( Glycine max L.) in South Africa
ABSTRACT Bradyrhizobium spp. are a group of symbiotic bacteria within the rhizobia complex that fix atmospheric nitrogen in economically important legumes. Here, we present the Bradyrhizobium diazoefficiens WB74 genome, an exotic rhizobium strain locally developed as a commercial inoculant that has been used for sustainable soybean production in South Africa over the last three decades.
