PROSPLIGN: Prospecting natural lignin biodiversity towards unlocking value-added bioactive motifs and molecules – Innovawood 2025
Presentation by Prof. Dr. Ingo Mayer, Bern University of Applied Sciences, prepared for Innovawood 2025. It introduces the PROSPLIGN project and its approach to identifying bioactive compounds from lignin for pharmaceutical, cosmetic and fragrance applications. The presentation outlines lignin sourcing, depolymerisation, fractionation, purification and bioactivity screening, and summarises preliminary project results.
