Benevolence Is Not Authority - Full English Manuscript

Can a safeguard retain its name while a revised mathematical construction changes the boundary it protects? And can superior judgment supply the authority to impose a consequence? This brief summarizes the Rev 7 boundary-preservation argument. It distinguishes a mathematical finding about a stated construction from a broader governance requirement. Neither part is presented as an empirical verdict on AI consciousness or on the conduct of a particular company. The manuscript fixes the version, domain, boundary and comparison conditions of the objective under examination before evaluating its claimed protection. Its mathematical discussion concerns a logarithmic branch and a shifted extension near the boundary invoked by the safeguard. A qualitative similarity in vocabulary cannot substitute for checking whether the boundary behavior survives the change. The complete Rev 7 manuscript contains the derivation and its assumptions. This brief supplies the question and its interpretive scope, not a substitute proof. This record is the complete English manuscript with author-controlled restricted file access. The work is independent of AI Frontiers and is not presented as peer reviewed. Abstract
