Managing the Green Economy through Digital Technologies: Opportunities, Mechanisms, and Prospects

This article analyzes the theoretical and methodological foundations, practical mechanisms, and prospects of managing the green economy through digital technologies. The interrelationship between the green economy and digital transformation is examined from the perspective of the "twin transition." The study substantiates the role of artificial intelligence, Big Data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and blockchain technologies in improving energy efficiency, tracking carbon footprints, managing waste, and shaping green finance flows, and proposes institutional mechanisms for their governance. Drawing on a comparative analysis of international experience (the European Union, China, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Singapore) and Uzbekistan's practice, supported by official statistical data, the authors develop an original conceptual model, the "digital-green governance cycle," together with practical recommendations for managing the digital-green transition in Uzbekistan. The research methodology combines systems analysis, a comparative-historical approach, and the generalization of statistical data.
