The Saudi Business Center: Building a one-stop shop for investors (A)
Amal’s journey before the Saudi Business Center.Amal a few years ago decided to open a private school in Riyadh. She was excited to create a modern learning environment for children, but before she could begin, Amal needed to obtain the official operating license. Amal started the process eagerly, but soon realised that obtaining a school license would be more demanding than imagined. To get approval, Amal had to interact with 11 different government entities and complete 18 separate steps. These requirements were spread across six different online platforms, and in total, there were 56 regulatory requirements Amal needed to comply with.
