Trophic morphology and machine learning classification of three Mediterranean fish species based on feeding-related traits

R script and input dataset supporting the manuscript “Trophic morphology and machine learning classification of three Mediterranean fish species based on feeding-related traits” (Merluccius merluccius, Sardina pilchardus, Sarpa salpa). The script runs the full analytical workflow: descriptive morphometrics, condition factor, length-weight relationships, functional diversity and PCoA, feature selection, PERMANOVA, and machine learning classification (random forest, gradient boosting, decision tree, logistic regression). The Excel workbook contains the individual-level morphometric records used as input.
