FEATURES OF THE ARCHITECTURAL AND SPATIAL ORGANIZATION OF TERRACED RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENTS
The article examines the features of the architectural and spatial organization of terraced housing, taking into account functional and planning, compositional, and natural and climatic factors. The main configurations of residential units are analyzed, including linear, corner, staggered, and combined arrangements. Their influence on the spatial planning structure of buildings, architectural expression, and the organization of residential outdoor areas is identified. The importance of privacy, efficient use of residential space, and the relationship between terraced housing developments and the surrounding environment is emphasized. The need to combine the compositional integrity of terraced residential buildings with opportunities for the individualization of residential units is substantiated.
