The City as the Main Administrative-Territorial Unit: A Legal Aspect

This article is an attempt to comprehend the normative legal regulation of the city as an administrative-territorial unit, around which the entire spatial structure and subsequent development are built. We have to admit that without a clear understanding of the essence of this settlement, a unanimous opinion of its location and the place of the population in it, it is hardly possible to come to an optimal state, especially by legal and, worse, bureaucratic means.

Abstract

This article is an attempt to comprehend the normative legal regulation of the city as an administrative-territorial unit, around which the entire spatial structure and subsequent development are built. We have to admit that without a clear understanding of the essence of this settlement, a unanimous opinion of its location and the place of the population in it, it is hardly possible to come to an optimal state, especially by legal and, worse, bureaucratic means.
