Effect of Closed Kinematic Chain exercises versus Open Kinematic Chain exercises on Knee Extensor strength, Gait Velocity and Functional strength of Lower limb in subjects with subacute stroke
AIM: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of Closed kinematic chain exercises versus Open kinematic chain exercises on knee extensor strength, gait velocity and functional strength of lower limb in subjects with subacute stroke. OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is to evaluate and compare the efficacy of Closed kinematic chain exercises versus Open kinematic chain exercises on knee extensor strength by using Biodex system 4 pro Isokinetic dynamometer, on Gait velocity by 10-Meter walk test, on Functional strength of affected lower limb by 5-repetititon sit-to-stand test. BACKGROUND: Stroke is a rapidly developing clinical sign of focal disturbances in cerebral function with symptoms lasting 24 hours or longer or leading to death with no apparent cause other than vascular origin.
