The SURGhub model: an innovative method for strengthening surgical teams in Kenya
Sustaining surgical capacity in low- and middle-income countries remains a challenge, as conventional capacity-building initiatives often rely on short-term training that limits skill retention and local ownership. The Obstetric Safe Surgery (OSS) Project in Kenya responds through a comprehensive series of interventions leveraging SURGhub, a digital platform combining asynchronous learning modules, a shared resource repository, and an open community of practice for multidisciplinary surgical teams.
