Arthroscopic Repair of Medial Meniscus Posterior Root Tear: Transtibial Fixation With 2 Lasso‐Loop Sutures and 1 Samsung Medical Center Sliding Knot for Tensioning Secured by a Tibial Button
Medial meniscus posterior root tears disrupt the circumferential load-transmission function of the meniscus and negatively affect knee biomechanics. This technical note describes a reliable and reproducible arthroscopic repair technique using 2 lasso-loop sutures and 1 Samsung Medical Center sliding knot through a single transtibial tunnel, secured with a tibial cortical button, emphasizing controlled anatomic reduction and balanced tensioning at the meniscus-suture interface. This method provides strong tissue capture and secure tibial fixation while allowing controlled footprint restoration and minimizing suture loosening or cut-through, thereby enabling anatomic reduction of the meniscal root.
