The transition to university often changes where, when, and how students eat. Leaving the family home can mean less regular meals, fewer home-cooked foods, and greater reliance on convenience foods. A systematic review of 51 articles on the transition to university reported that students commonly ate less food, less healthfully, and less regularly after starting university; these changes were more evident among students moving into residence or off-campus housing than among those remaining at home [1].
