Credibility in Evolving Cooperative Relations: A Preliminary Discussion of Generative-Relational Dynamics

This exploratory study asks under which conditions heterogeneous generative-relational (GR) subjects can construct cooperative arrangements that are jointly feasible, institutionally accountable, and compatible with participants’ protected capacities. It distinguishes three problems: constructibility of coexistence, generative credibility, and normative compositionality. A task-relative formal representation connects actors, dependencies, relational histories, commitments, evidence, power, remedies, and normative interfaces. Conditional propositions and finite counterexamples demonstrate how individual feasibility can diverge from joint feasibility, observable compliance from continuing capacities, and local agreement from compositional consistency. Building on established international-relations, relational-peace, capability, and institutional scholarship, the study develops an auditable GR-augmented assessment procedure. Six praxis chapters specify safeguards and evaluation protocols for peacemaking, preventive diplomacy, international cooperation, and interpersonal, organizational, and public trust. Documentary comparisons of the Montreal Protocol, Paris Agreement, BBNJ Agreement, and Aarhus Convention examine implementation support, transparency, institutional formation, and contestation. These case studies provide institutional evidence while leaving the comparative effectiveness of GR open. A proposed research design compares GR-augmented analysis with competent existing methods under common evidence, authority, resource, and safety constraints. The contribution is a conditional formal and methodological synthesis; its explanatory distinctiveness and practical benefit require independent investigation.
