A Mixed Dark Sector: Two Non Thermal Relics Forced by the G2 Property Sectors

The G2 framework contains two dark sector candidates identified in earlier work: a twelve-GeV singlet of the information sector and an axion of approximately thirteen to fourteen neV from the constraint sector. We show that these are not competing proposals for the dark matter but two components of it and that their coexistence is forced rather than chosen. The framework’s classification of sectors identifies exactly two property sectors — sectors whose invariant is global rather than gauged, which condense as non-thermal relics rather than thermalising as forces. These are the information and constraint sectors and they are precisely the two dark candidates. The dark matter is therefore predicted to be mixed: neither purely a weakly interacting massive particle nor purely an axion, but a sum of the two, with the twelve-GeV singlet the dominant component and the axion subdominant. We give the structural argument, state the prediction and its falsification condition, a determination that the dark matter is a single component would challenge the two sector structure and address honestly the cosmological tension that a high scale axion introduces, namely that avoiding overclosure requires a small initial misalignment. The distinctive feature of the prediction is that the number of dark components is fixed by the sector classification, not assumed.
