"Through the Lens : Photography in Geosciences Publications"

Photographs serve as critical visual data in geosciences research. This presentation explores how photographic imagery functions as a primary research artifact and outreach tool in geologic and hydrologic publications. Drawing on decades of experience working at the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and in the Princeton University Library, Emily will explain how to find and use some of the most famous photographs in geology and hydrology research, as well as highlight photographic collections for unseen or uncommon moments of Earth’s processes.
