El paratraductor emancipado: crítica, inteligencia artificial y la producción de sentido en la era algorítmica

This article critically examines the contemporary transformations of translation and paratranslation in the context of the expansion of artificial intelligence. Drawing on recent examples of automated cultural production, the study explores how generative systems reshape classical notions of authorship, originality, and linguistic mediation. It argues that artificial intelligence should not be understood merely as a technical tool, but as a dispositive that reorganizes regimes of meaning production, circulation, and legitimation. To develop this argument, the article engages with the works of Pierre Bourdieu, Michel Foucault, Susan Sontag, and Philippe Lacour, highlighting the epistemological limits of algorithmic interpretation and the political implications of informational governmentality. Within translation studies, paratranslation is presented as a critical framework for examining the devices that frame textual production in cyber culture. Drawing on Jacques Rancière’s thought, the article proposes the concept of the emancipated paratranslator, understood as an interpretive agent capable of preserving the cultural, intersubjective, and critical dimensions of translation in the face of increasing linguistic automation.
