The Role Of Financial Literacy As A Moderating Variable In The Effect Of Financial Technology And Financial Inclusion On The Financial Performance Of MSMEs (A Study of MSMEs Fostered by Perum Jasa Tirta II)

This study examines financial literacy as a moderator of financial technology and inclusion relationships with MSME financial performance. A purposive survey of 52 fintech-experienced Perum Jasa Tirta II partners was analysed using SmartPLS. Technology, inclusion, and literacy had positive conditional main associations with operator-reported performance. The technology interaction was positive (β = 0.315, p = 0.003); the inclusion interaction was not significant (β = −0.187, p = 0.098). The observational design and incomplete measurement reporting limit interpretation. Findings motivate evaluating financial education alongside services without establishing intervention effects.
