PRE-SERVICE TEACHERS’ READINESS TO ADOPT ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE APPLICATIONS IN EDUCATION "AWARENESS, ATTITUDES, DIGITAL COMPETENCE

This study aimed to determine the level of readiness among pre-service teachers to adopt artificial intelligence applications in education by analyzing the relationship between their awareness of these technologies, their actual level of use, and their attitudes toward them. The study employed a descriptive-analytical approach, with data collected using a questionnaire covering the dimensions of awareness, attitudes toward use, digital competence in use, and actual usage. The study sample consisted of 525 pre-service teachers. The results showed that the level of awareness of AI applications was high, while the level of actual use was moderate, indicating a gap between knowledge and application. Furthermore, the study recommends the need to strengthen the practical and training components of teacher preparation programs and to develop instructional models that support the effective integration of AI technologies into the educational process.
