The Logistic Mobius Engine
We present a short observation on the geometric structure underlying the firstbifurcation of the logistic map. By interpreting the ellipse formed at the symmetry break as a manifestation of discrete recursion in the numbers 1, 2, 3, we outline how this dynamic can be rephrased in number-theoretic terms. The construction suggests a natural bridge between recursion, modular behavior, and early onset of complexity in discrete systems. 1 IntroductionThe logistic map$xn+1 = λxn(1 − xn)$is a classical model in dynamical systems, illustrating how simple recurrence relations can produce complex behavior. Its bifurcation diagram encodes the onset of chaos through successive period-doubling. This note highlights a small but structural feature: the emergence of an ellipse at the very first bifurcation, and its interpretation in terms of recursion involving the integers 1, 2, 3
