Whither the climate movement (and what comes next)?

Abstract Perspectives do not contain abstracts, excerpt from the perspective: In this perspective, I provide evidence about how the climate movement has redirected its efforts given the current “nonreceptive political and social environment” to maintain some level of continuity [7]. After presenting data about how the climate movement has shifted its focus, I consider what it will take to reinvigorate the movement so it can help motivated the changes we need to address the climate crisis. Abstract

Since the US is the top historical contributor to climate change and has been home to a vibrant climate movement, I present data collected from activists in the US to provide empirical context
