Compliance Level of Selected Schools under the Municipalities of Diadi and Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya on LGU Ordinance No. 2323-235 as Specified and Empowered by Division Memorandum No. 365 s. 2024 - Prohibition of Act of Indiscriminate Spitting and Cons

This basic research determined the level of compliance of selected schools in the municipalities of Diadi and Bagabag, Nueva Vizcaya with LGU Ordinance No. 2323-235, as mandated by Division Memorandum No. 365 s. 2024. Using a descriptive research design, the study gathered data were gathered from school administrators, teachers, and other school personnel through a structured questionnaire. The study examined respondents’ profiles and assessed school compliance in terms of ordinance signage installation, enforcement of prohibitions on indiscriminate spitting and betel nut (momma) consumption, conduct of awareness campaigns, and coordination with Local Government Units (LGUs) and community stakeholders. Results revealed that the selected schools demonstrated a compliant-to-compliant level of adherence in across most indicators, particularly in school-based enforcement and implementation of awareness activities. However, coordination with LGUs and community stakeholders emerged as an area requiring further improvement, demonstrating only partially compliant of schools. Significant relationships and differences were found between respondents’ profile variables and compliance levels. These findings underscore the importance of sustained monitoring, enforcement and active collaboration among internal and external stakeholders, parents and LGUs. Strengthened school–community partnership is recommended to address gaps and ensure consistent and sustainable ordinance implementation. The study provides evidence that may guide school administrators and stakeholders in enhancing policy implementation and promoting a safe, healthy, and ordinance-compliant school environment.
