Set checks in PDF invoice automation: a worked demo on 50 synthetic invoices
This technical note explains set checks in PDF invoice automation, using a small public demo on 50 synthetic invoices. Reading the values from a PDF is one job; knowing they are right for your business is another. A document can itself be wrong, for example a price of 2500 on the PDF against 25000 on your own price list, or it can be unclear which GSTIN is the buyer's and which is the vendor's. Both need your own master data and checks you define. The demo reads 50 synthetic PDF invoices, runs four set checks (Line Item Math, Tax Math, GSTIN Format, State Code Match), and writes Excel reports and Tally-ready import files. In the demo, 50 of 50 sample invoices passed all set checks. The note states what that does and does not show: layouts are fixed, only the checks that are set are run, and anything outside them is not checked. It includes reproduction steps and five questions to ask any vendor. More at https://gentlereminder.in/
