Organizational Culture and Strengthening of Cardboard Recycling Microenterprises in Villahermosa Tabasco
This study analyzed organizational culture in three cardboard recycling microenterprises in Villahermosa, Tabasco, Mexico, to identify priorities for organizational strengthening. A mixed-methods, non-experimental, cross-sectional, exploratory-descriptive study was conducted using convenience sampling. Forty-five people participated. Data collection combined a five-point Likert questionnaire, semi-structured interviews, and direct observation. The thesis reported an overall internal consistency coefficient of α = 0.82. Analysis integrated dimension means and triangulation across sources. Leadership received the highest score (4.03), followed by teamwork (3.78), operational organization (3.69), communication (3.62), and adaptability (3.41). Qualitative evidence identified close owner supervision, cooperation, and functional routines, alongside centralized decision-making, verbal communication, and limited documentation. A strengthening model was formulated to connect diagnosis, intervention across organizational dimensions, cultural consolidation, performance assessment, and feedback. The findings suggest that existing cooperation can support greater adaptability and gradual formalization of management practices. Results are descriptive and limited to the cases studied; the effectiveness of the proposed model requires subsequent evaluation.
