Psychometric Validation of the “Psychological Contract Breach” Questionnaire (S. Robinson & E. Morrison)

This article presents the results of a psychometric verification of the Russian-language version of the Psychological Contract Breach measure developed by S. Robinson and E. Morrison’s and published in 2000. The study aimed to examine the reliability and validity of the tool designed to assess employees’ perceptions of their employer’s fulfillment of the psychological contract and their emotional experience of its breach. The empirical sample consisted of 164 employees from Russian commercial organizations. The psychometric validation procedure included forward and back translation, expert review of item wording, and pilot testing. The study examined reliability indicators, including internal consistency and test-retest reliability, and confirmed the validity of the measure. The findings indicate that the Russian-language version of the questionnaire has acceptable psychometric properties and may be used in research on employment relations and organizational behavior.
