DELPHI U23 – 24-week physical conditioning schedule v1
The aim of this study is to develop consensus-based recommendations for the weekly volume of strength training, continuous aerobic exercise, and high-intensity interval training (HIIT) for elite U23 wrestlers, covering each of the 24 weeks leading up to their primary competition. A modified Delphi method will be employed, involving an open recruitment process for participating experts. Two mandatory rounds are planned, with a third round to be conducted if necessary for any items that fail to meet a pre-established consensus criterion. For each weekly item, experts will specify the recommended total duration for each training component, expressed in hours per week (h/week). Consensus for quantitative responses is defined a priori as an interquartile range (IQR) of no more than 0.5 h/week. Between rounds, participants will receive anonymous group feedback, including the distribution of responses, the median, the IQR, the mean, and a summary of anonymized comments. Responses will be linked across rounds solely through the use of identification codes. The final output will be a "week × component" matrix containing the median recommended values and measures of dispersion; items that fail to reach consensus after the third round will be classified as representing persistent disagreement.
